As a volunteer, I run the Grimsby Duplicate Bridge Club there on Monday afternoons starting at 12:30pm (changed from Tuesday nights starting at 07:00pm) to whenever we finish. Usually, the more tables we have, the longer we can play.
Bring someone to play with and we can help you learn. Basic card experience and maybe understanding of playing bridge/euchre would be helpful but you can ask. Feel free to come Monday afternoon to find out. You might like it. Most of the players have been playing for decades but all are welcome. $3.00 a afternoon to play usually.
Edit-changed time playing and did I mention we 2 dinners a year, Christmas and June, which is basically paid for with the money collected for playing bridge
The programs here are for everyone, but seniours benefit greatly from exercise classes that consider age & functional mobility. The sit & get fit class is perfect for this. There is also fit over 50, Tai chi, yoga, pickle ball, art, quilting & many other programs, all at a very affordable cost. I would encourage anyone looking for wonderful & experienced staff, friendly people, a variety of programs & socialization to come & check it out.
I run the Grimsby Duplicate Bridge Club at the Grimsby Activity Center, as it's now called, every Tuesday night, excluding a few holidays, from 7pm until 10pm. info can be obtained at the Center and/or visit and bring a partner to play bridge. Sometimes we have spare bridge partners.
Hosted our AGM...room was adequate for a small group
Plenty of great activities for seniors and hobby enthusiasts of all ages.
The Livingston Activity Centre (LAC) is a community recreation facility that is home to Grimsby Seniors Club, the Grimsby Starmakers, and several other community organizations. The LAC features an Auditorium complete with a stage and full kitchen, several meeting rooms, lounge and Boardroom.
